The groups are channeling their combined wealth into an entrepreneurial spirit that fuels massive redevelopment projects such as constructing low-income housing, homeless shelters, day care centers, gyms, and job-training centers. The churches are wrestling with their missionary mandates to revitalize both individuals and the communities where they live.
