False Bomb Threat Keeps Boyfriend From Leaving

STEVE INSKEEP, Host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

A woman in Santiago, Chile, was distraught that her man was going away. He boarded a plane bound for Spain for a job as a cruise ship waiter. Grace Guajardo could not stand to see him go, and she says that's why, as the plane taxied toward takeoff, she phoned in a bomb threat that forced everybody off. She says she's sorry. And her beloved is doing the only thing that a guy could possibly do in this situation: He decided to stay home.
