Some Apple iPhones Didn't Spring Forward

LINDA WERTHEIMER, host:

Today's last word in business is not-so-smart phone.

Clocks moved forward an hour this weekend, as daylight saving time began. But many owners of Apple's iPhone reported that their phones went back an hour. That means the time on the smart phone was actually two hours off. There were complaints about missed appointments. Some people missed church.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

It's not the first time the iPhone has bungled a time change. Users reported problems on New Year's Day, and there were also glitches when clocks were supposed to move back an hour last fall.

The moral of the story: Glance at the analog clock on your wall every once in a while.

And that's the business news on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News. I'm Renee Montagne.

WERTHEIMER: And I'm Linda Wertheimer. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
