Seminars at Steamboat: Christopher Hill

Celebrating 10 years of engaging discussions on important public policy issues, the Seminars at Steamboat return to KUNC. On Sunday, Ambassador Christopher Hill spoke regarding the challenges and opportunities in foreign policy after the election.

About The Speaker

Ambassador Christopher Hill is the Dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at The University of Denver and he’s is a four-time ambassador, nominated by three presidents. He’s served as Ambassador to Iraq, The Republic of Korea, Poland, and the Republic of Macedonia. He also served as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and was the head of the U.S. delegation to the Six Party Talks on the North Korean nuclear issue. He also served as a Special Assistant to the President and a Senior Director on the staff of the National Security Council, 1999-2000.

Mr. Hill received the State Department’s Distinguished Service Award for his contributions as a member of the U.S. negotiating team in the Bosnia peace settlement.

The title of the Ambassador's lecture is Foreign Policy after the Election: Challenges and Opportunities.
