Volunteers Of America in Northern Colorado-Enhancing Quality Of Life For The Most Vulnerable

Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.

Volunteers of America's Northern Colorado branch provides services to keep seniors independent and living in their homes, and assist veterans with housing. Their programs mainly help residents in Larimer County, but their rapid rehousing program for veterans also serves Weld, Boulder, Morgan, and Logan.

VOA-Northern Colorado believes it’s not enough to serve a meal, build a wheelchair ramp, or provide housing assistance.  To truly make a difference, you need to care.  The staff and volunteers at Volunteers of America in Northern Colorado care about the people they serve.  Their desire is to enhance the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals in the community, be they elders or  veteran families.  They are there to provide a hand up, encouragement, and understanding to those in need.

Through more than 30 distinct human service programs throughout the state of Colorado, including housing and healthcare, Volunteers of America helps more than 200,000 Coloradoans each year.  Since 1896, their ministry of service has supported and empowered America's most vulnerable groups, including at-risk youth, the frail elderly, low-income families, homeless individuals and families, women and children escaping domestic violence, and those seeking affordable housing solutions. VOA's work touches the mind, body, heart — and ultimately the spirit — of those they serve, integrating deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
