Watch Live: Michael Cohen Testifies Before U.S. House

NPR
Michael Cohen testifies before the U.S. House of Representatives the morning of Feb. 27, 2019.

Michael Cohen, President Trump's former lawyer, is testifying on Capitol Hill today.

Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison, to begin in May. He pleaded guilty last year to charges of campaign finance violations and other charges related to his work for Trump.

NPR live stream (starts at 8 a.m. MST):

In prepared remarks obtained by NPR, Cohen is expected to make a series of bombshell accusations about Trump's character, his business dealings, his 2016 presidential campaign and an ultimately unsuccessful venture involving a Trump Tower project in Russia.

Cohen is expected to bring several documents, including copies of checks and financial statements that he says support his testimony, as he attempts to overcome questions about the veracity of his testimony since he pleaded guilty last year for lying to Congress. Read more analysis and updates from NPR.
