Sarah Gonzalez
Sarah Gonzalez is the multimedia education reporter for WLRN's StateImpact Florida project. She comes from NPR in D.C. where she was a national desk reporter, web and show producer as an NPR Kroc Fellow. The San Diego native has worked as a reporter and producer for KPBS in San Diego and KALW in San Francisco, covering under-reported issues like youth violence, food insecurity and public education. Her work has been awarded an SPJ Sigma Delta Chi and regional Edward R. Murrow awards. She graduated from Mills College in 2009 with a bachelorâ

Karen found her home in public broadcasting after working for several years as a commercial television reporter. She joinedWJCTin 2005 as the host of 89.9 FM’s Morning Edition and has held many different roles at the station in both radio and television. She has written and produced documentaries includingBeluthahatchee: The Legacy of Stetson Kennedy and Jacksonville Beach: Against the Tide and directed the oral history project, Voices of the First Coast.

Casey Miner is an audio producer and senior editor for KALW’s award-winning news, arts, and culture program Crosscurrents. She’s contributed work to NPR, Marketplace, Mother Jones, The Takeaway, Transportation Nation and PopUp Magazine. If you like rollover fires, fermenting cabbage, and/or taxidermy-in-progress, she suggests you also check out The Field Trip Podcast. Casey is a graduate of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and enjoys talking with people at length about what exactly they do all day.

Larkin got her start in radio as a newsroom volunteer in 2006. She went on to work for 90.5 as a reporter , Weekend Edition host, and Morning Edition producer. In 2009 she became 90.5's All Things Considered host, and in 2017 she was named Managing Editor. She moderates and facilitates public panels and forums, and has won regional and statewide awards for her reporting, including stories on art, criminal justice, domestic violence, and breaking news. Her work has been featured across Pennsylvania and nationally on NPR.

Maggie is a senior at Colorado College, wrapping up her degree in Feminist & Gender Studies and Journalism. She began her work as a KRCC newsroom intern and a radio journalist in the fall of 2013, but previously worked in print and television news. Hailing from back east—Cincinnati, OH to be exact—Maggie enjoys the daily views of the mountains here in Colorado, and the ever-present sunshine. She can be found reading home improvement blogs, creating innovative kitchen concoctions and dressing up in costumes from her impressive collection.

Martha Perez-Sanz is a student at Colorado College, working towards a major in Anthropology and a minor in Journalism. She’s been interning in the News Room since 2011 and loves keeping track of what’s going on in her college’s city. Born and raised in Chicago, Martha can’t get enough of the Front Range and likes to have it within her sight at all times. Patrick Skahill is a reporter at WNPR. He covers science and the environment. Prior to becoming a reporter, he was the founding producer of WNPR's The Colin McEnroe Show, which began in 2009.
