A judge has sentenced a former forensic analyst for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to 10 years in prison after prosecutors said she manipulated and omitted data to speed up her work. Yvonne "Missy" Woods had pleaded guilty to perjury, attempting to influence a public servant, forgery and committing a cybercrime.

A former analyst with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation who was accused of cutting corners and bucking testing protocols has pleaded guilty to four felonies stemming from a DNA testing scandal. Authorities had said the work of Yvonne "Missy" Woods' raised questions about the validity of more than 500 cases, including homicides, sexual assaults and other crimes.
