In 1992 Bob Brozman released the album A Truckload of Blues and set a new benchmark for the slide guitar. While Bob has accomplishments and credits to fill an encyclopedia, it is his mastery of guitar that tops his list.

Brozman is an ethnomusicologist who knows more about a dozen genres of music that most anyone else knows about one. On A Truckload of Blues, Bob delves into deep groove traditional blues, hard driving electric blues, heartfelt country blues, plus ragtime, and Hawaiian; handling each with aplomb and flair. Many of the tunes are blessed with Brozman’s deep, growling vocals that are a throwback to the lowdown delta sound of Charlie Patton. His wonderful collection of National Resonator guitars feature throughout the album as well as touching on the quite rare resonator ukulele and banjo.
