Speaking from the White House Rose Garden, President Obama clearly related his own redemption this month to the turkeys he pardoned.

"They say that life is all about second chances, and this November I could not agree more," he said at the pardon ceremony. "The American people have spoken, and these birds are moving forward."

Alleged 'East Coast Rapist' To Appear In Virginia Court Hearings This Month

Aaron Thomas, the man suspected as the 'East Coast Rapist', is scheduled to enter a plea in two Virginia courts this month, according to reports. The Associated Press says on Nov. 30, Thomas will appear in a courtroom in Loudoun County, apparently to enter a plea in a sexual assault case.

For The Record: Final Numbers From Florida, Ohio, Virginia

The big difference is that President Obama has enough of an electoral cushion that it would not affect the outcome of the elections.
