House Approves Higher Indecency Fines
The House of Representatives votes to increase the maximum fine for "indecent" content broadcast on radio or television. If approved by the Senate and the president, the maximum fine would jump from $27,500 to $500,000 for a broadcast outlet. Fines for on-air employees would also be raised to $500,000.
