Comedy Festival Sets Record For Rubber Chicken Toss

Good morning. I'm Ari Shapiro.

As the rubber chickens hit the ice last night, Gilda Radner smiled down from somewhere in heaven. "Gilda's Laugh Fest" is a Michigan comedy festival in memory of the late comedian. This year, organizers decided to challenge the world record for a rubber chicken toss. They were hoping for at least 500 people to show up. Ultimately 925 rubber chickens flew through the air onto a skating rink, decimating the old chicken record.
