In February, Art of Modeling hosted one of its last indoor, in-person modeling marathons, allowing artists to sketch multiple models throughout the day.

As we approach the end of 2020, we're looking back at some stories of interest by KUNC reporters over the past year.

Back in February, KUNC arts reporter Stacy Nick began working on a story on nude fine art models. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. She returned to the story in September to see how an industry that thrives on sketching from live models is handling going virtual.

Ellen Allen is the owner of the Art of Modeling, a Boulder-based booking agency for fine art models. And she doesn’t mince words when talking about what going virtual has meant for her business.

Stacy was KUNC's arts and culture reporter from 2015 to 2021.
