President Obama tonight delivered the State of the Union address at the Capitol. Following that, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) gave the official Republican response and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who leads the House Tea Party Caucus, offered her own statement.

Before, during and after the president's address, we posted updates as they happened in the box below. If you scroll through, you can see how the story developed — and some of the reactions along the way from people around the world who were following along with us. Full audio and transcripts of the president's address and the two responses are going to be posted . Frank, meanwhile, is analyzing things over at It's All Politics.
