As the Programming and Operations Manager for KUNC, it’s my job to shape the sound of KUNC. I evaluate what programs we are running and orchestrate the sound of our live on air hosts for Morning Edition and All Things Considered. When people in Northern Colorado listen to KUNC, I want them to feel like we are a part of their life, as a companion. It's my goal to deliver the best sound and product for all the listeners in Northern Colorado.
Public radio is something special. The fact that most of the funding comes from small donations from the community is special to me. I grew up with public radio in our house, and the ability to provide that voice to our audience here in Northern Colorado is inspiring.
I grew up in Grand Junction on the Western Slope. I moved to Eugene, Oregon, where I graduated from the University of Oregon then I worked for KLCC for 4 years. In 2016, I relocated back to Colorado and started at KUNC. I have been living in Greeley ever since.
When I am not at work, I play bagpipes in Michael Collins Pipes and Drums Band in Denver. I also enjoy skiing, disc golf, camping and going to concerts.
