Citing a scheduling conflict, Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to the Colorado Chautauqua Tuesday has been canceled. Biden is expected to still campaign Wednesday in Greeley.
The Boulder event was scheduled before the Tuesday night debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney and would have marked the first time since 1996 that a sitting Vice President would have spoken at the Chautauqua. Al Gore was the last; he spoke in November 1996, just two days prior to the election.
The Wednesday campaign visit in Greeley will be at the Exhibition Hall at the Island Grove Regional Park. Starting at 11 a.m., he is expected to deliver remarks focused on the economy.
