With more than 20 years of journalism experience in the Greater Cincinnati market, Ann Thompson brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her reporting. She has reported for WKRC, WCKY, WHIO-TV, Metro Networks and CBS/ABC Radio. Her work has been recognized by the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2019 and 2011 A-P named her “Best Reporter” for large market radio in Ohio. She has won awards from the Association of Women in Communications and the Alliance for Women in Media. Ann reports regularly on science and technology in Focus on Technology.

Before joining NHPR in February of 2015, Jason interned with a variety of public radio organizations including StoryCorps, Transom.org, and WBHM in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Bennington College with a degree in philosophy and sound design.

David Fuchs joined KUER in June 2019 as the station’s first Southwest Bureau reporter. He is also a corps member of Report For America, a public service program that partners with local newsrooms to bring reporters to undercovered areas across the country. From his post in St. George, David focuses on issues affecting Washington County and Utah’s southwest region, with an eye toward growth, public lands, energy, water, the environment, spirituality and political coverage at the state and federal level. Before coming to Utah, David worked with CBS News, WNYC’s Radiolab, NPR’s Morning Edition and The Kitchen Sisters. When he’s not working on a story, you'll most likely find David running, camping or playing the saxophone.

Though the majority of my radio experience has been in the commercial sector (from Colorado to Utah to Alaska), my radio was always tuned to the public station... I am an NPR junkie. I was blessed to work with some truly amazing and creative people in radio since my first professional job in the industry during my freshman year in college. That blessing has continued by being part of the family of one of the most incredible radio stations (and staff) in the country - KUNC.
