The Last Word In Business: Delta Promotion Offers NHL Fans Free Trip

The New York Rangers play the New Jersey Devils Saturday in game three of the Eastern Conference finals. Delta Airlines is offering free plane tickets to New Jersey for some lucky Rangers fans. The flight time for the 20 mile trip is 17 minutes but the estimated travel time, with airports and the TSA involved, is around three hours.

The conference finals are underway in the National Hockey League playoffs. In the East, the New York Rangers will face the New Jersey Devils Monday. In the West, the Los Angeles Kings have won Game 1 — beating the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2.

Attorney Katzenbach: A Key Force For Civil Rights

This morning we remember a man who stood up to George Wallace before the eyes of the world. Nicholas Katzenbach became attorney general in the Johnson administration and played a pivotal role in much of the civil rights history of the 1960s. He died this week at his home in New Jersey at the age of 90. NPR's Debbie Elliott looks back at his life.

Co-Workers Rescue Man From Vat Of Acid

While initial headlines that said a man jumped into a vat of acid to rescue a co-worker at at New Jersey construction site may have overstated what happened just a bit, there's still a dramatic tale to tell.

According to NorthJersey.com:

"In what fire officials described as an act of bravery [on Monday], four roofers rescued a co-worker who had fallen through a factory roof in Clifton and dropped 40 feet into a tank of acid."

Thousands Of Bees Removed From New Jersey Home

Gary Shempp, owner of a bee rescue business, was called in to relocate the 30,000 bees that were found in a home in Cape May, N.J. Shempp moved the bees and extracted 25 pounds of honey from the home.
