Bobby Long On World Cafe

English singer-songwriter Bobby Long has been writing keenly crafted pop songs since he was a teenager, and soon began attending university and performing at open-mic nights alongside future Twilight star Robert Pattinson. That connection paid off, as Long was chosen to perform a song with Pattinson for the film series' first soundtrack.

Long spent much of 2009 touring in the U.S. and Canada, where he sold copies of his bedroom recording, Dirty Pond Songs, at shows. A studio-recorded follow-up, A Winter Tale, arrived last summer — after he made this appearance on World Cafe.

This World Cafe segment originally aired April 27, 2010.
