It might not have been the first concern on Americans’ minds when faced with the prospect of staying indoors and physical distancing. But it’s a problem many in the nation are now trying to puzzle through: haircare and haircuts in the time of coronavirus.
For many, how their hair looks is central to their concept of identity. And not being able to see a professional means the scissors are now in Americans’ hands.
