Filmmaker Delves Into Angie Zapata’s Life And Legacy

It’s been almost three years since Angie Zapata, a transgender teen living in Greeley, was brutally beaten to death in her apartment. Zapata’s life and high-profile murder trial is the subject of a new documentary debuting this weekend in Denver.

KUNC’s Grace Hood spoke with filmmaker Alan Dominguez to discuss Zapata’s legacy and what he hopes his film will accomplish.
