Watch: BBC 'Pop Up' Shares Flood Survival Stories From Jamestown
A mobile news venture from the venerable BBC, called BBC Pop Up, has released its first video project coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the 2013 Colorado flood.
The story focuses on how the flood impacted the small community of Jamestown, which is located near BBC Pop Up’s temporary stateside home in Boulder.
Video journalist Matt Danzico told us he wanted to learn firsthand what the event looked and sounded like -- and to portray how Jamestown residents have pulled together and grown even stronger as a community in the year after the devastating event.
The pop-up mobile news bureau will be stationed in Boulder for the month of September, gathering Colorado stories for the BBC’s global audience.
