The episode stayed under wraps until the paper reported it Wednesday. Lynch is the Republican minority leader in the Colorado House. He is running for the hotly contested U.S. House seat that Republican Rep. Ken Buck is vacating.

The Supreme Court will decide whether former President Donald Trump can be kept off the 2024 presidential ballot because of his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss that culminated in the U.S. Capitol attack. The justices Friday agreed to take a Colorado case, inserting themselves in the presidential campaign and acknowledging the need to decide quickly.

New Year's Eve could take the cake for the busiest wedding day in Las Vegas thanks to the date's repeating pattern of 1-2-3, 1-2-3. Dec. 31, 2023 is known as a specialty date in the massive Las Vegas wedding industry. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the number of weddings to beat on New Year's Eve is 4,492. That record was set on July 7, 2007. One chapel in downtown Las Vegas says it's fully booked at midnight on the holiday and is expecting to wed more than 120 couples that day.

Frontier Airlines has settled a lawsuit filed by female pilots who said the airline discriminated against pregnant and breastfeeding employees. In the settlement announced Tuesday, Frontier will let pilots pump breast milk in the cockpit during "noncritical phases" of flights. The airline is also letting pilots who are breastfeeding reduce their flying time. The settlement was announced by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A lawyer for the agency says the settlement sends a message to airlines and other employers about making reasonable accommodations to workers who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
