Colorado Exports Set New Record In 2012

In 2012, Colorado’s exports increased 11.3 percent, growing to $8.1 billion from $7.3 billion in 2011 according to the Colorado Office of Economic Development and international Trade.

Colorado’s top export markets in 2012:

  1. Canada – purchased $1.9 billion in exports (up 29.5% from 2011)
  2. Mexico – purchased $847 million in exports (up 12% from 2011)
  3. China – purchased $647 million in exports (up 6% from 2011)

Colorado’s key merchandise export categories include computer and electronic products, food and kindred products, machinery, and chemicals.
