Kyle Cooke
Kyle Cooke is the news editor at Rocky Mountain PBS. He previously served as the newsroom's digital media manager. Kyle joined Rocky Mountain PBS in July of 2020.
Kyle manages a team of reporters around the state. His own reporting often focuses on mobility, the environment and the press. His journalism has been recognized by the Colorado Broadcasters Association, The Society of Professional Journalists and the Heartland Emmy Awards.
Prior to his move to Colorado, Kyle lived in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was an assignment editor and multimedia producer for WSMV. In Nashville, he mostly covered breaking news, including deadly tornadoes, mass shootings and mayoral scandals.
He was born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in multimedia journalism. Kyle now lives in Denver, where he enjoys riding his bike, playing basketball and stressing about his tomato plants.
