The Thrill Isn't Gone, But B.B. Is

B.B. King has passed and there is a void in the Blues world. Of course, I didn't know King personally, but really, didn't we all know B.B. King? I have no idea what percentage of current Blues fans were first drawn to the music by him, but I'd really like a buck or two for each time one has told me that they owe their love of the music to him. I also love the Blues because of B.B. King.

I think that someone who knew B.B. and was greatly inspired by him might be best qualified to pay tribute. Eric Clapton would qualify nicely:

So Okay, how do I pay tribute to someone that big? I think that is really simple; listen to him, watch him and celebrate the music he loved and championed. If you are a newbie and were hoping for bio info about him there's Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. Bring a lunch, there's a lot been said and a lot more could be said, but I won't say it because I want to get on with the enjoying.

The thrill is not gone because we can continue to revel in the music of B.B. King.
