What are your favorite handmade gifts to give and receive? We want to hear from you

The gift giving season is upon us, particularly if you are someone who shucks the retail spaces for a more homegrown option. Whether it is a handmade piece of pottery, a baked item or a crafted pair of mittens for the colder days ahead, these (sometimes) more economical and heartfelt gifts are gaining in popularity. According to the Deloitte Holiday Retail survey, one-third of Denver area shoppers surveyed said they planned to make gifts this year – well above the national average of 23%.

So, what do you have up your sleeves? Got a tried and true classic that your friends and family count on receiving each year? Do you pick out and try something new and have a favorite? What gifts have you made or plan to make this year? Tell us about your holiday handy work! You can also share a photo and upload your answers as a voice memo by emailing us at newsletter@kunc.org.
