Gardner Only Republican Member of Congress Attending RNC

U.S. House of Representatives

Nearly 70 Colorado delegates are in Florida for this week’s convention but only one Republican member of the state’s congressional delegation is there, 4th District Congressman Corry Gardner. He says he’s not concerned if all the delegates are not in support of Mitt Romney.

As The Denver Post noted:

Gardner will go to Tampa, his spokeswoman said. Gardner is considered by many in DC political circles as a rising star in the GOP freshmen class.

KUNC’s Brian Larson spoke with Gardner about the week’s activities and what he hopes to hear from Mitt Romney’s acceptance speech on Thursday.

Concern for delegate support at today's RNC vote is founded as Ron Paul supporters have been showing discontent over rule changes. The Two Way is following today's events at the RNC in the live blog and our colleagues at The Colorado Statesman are following the Colorado Delegation and filing from the RNC.
