Today on Colorado Edition: We'll get the highlights from the governor's annual State of the State address. We'll also look at housing costs in Boulder, learn about an exhibit by veteran photographers, and look at the changing landscape of nature photography.
State Of The State
Today Gov. Jared Polis delivered his second State of the State address. KUNC’s Scott Franz was there, and joins us with the highlights.
Boulder County Rents
Rents in Boulder county have stabilized, now for the second year in a row. John Spina has been following trends in the county’s housing market for The Boulder Daily Camera, and joined to explain what this means.
Through The Eyes Of Veterans
A new exhibit opens this Saturday at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. It’s called The Subjective Lens – Through The Eyes of Veterans and it features the work of 10 Denver-area photographers, all of who have served in the military.
Samantha Johnston, the executive director of the Colorado Photographic Arts Center, spoke with us about the exhibit.
Nature Photography
The Mountain West is a mecca for nature photographers. But they’re facing some new competitors these days — us. Anyone with a smart phone now has a fancy camera in their pocket, and if they’re lucky, can stumble on a shot that a professional photographer’s been waiting on for days. A grizzly, the elusive black-footed ferret. A perfect sunrise.
The Mountain West News Bureau’s Madelyn Beck reports.
