Today on Colorado Edition: We break down how delegates are assigned in our state following the primary results from Super Tuesday. We also check in on where voters around the state stand ahead of Colorado's presidential primary tomorrow. Plus, is wolf reintroduction a question of science or morality? We explore the more holistic debate surround the upcoming ballot issue. We'll also learn more about how Colorado schools are preparing for a potential coronavirus outbreak.

How Delegate Allocation Works In Colorado

Super Tuesday is tomorrow and an important part of the primary puzzle is delegate allocation. To learn more about how that process works in our state, we spoke with our state parties. In this segment, you’ll hear from Don Ytterberg, senior adviser to the Colorado Republican Party, and Halisi Vinson, executive director of the Colorado Democratic Party.

Where Some Colorado Voters Stand Ahead Of Super Tuesday

After hearing from the parties ahead of Super Tuesday, we wanted to check in on the candidates and voters in our state. To learn more, we spoke to the Colorado Sun’s Jesse Paul, who has been out talking to voters and attending candidate visits throughout the state.

How Colorado Schools Are Preparing For COVID-19

There have still been no confirmed cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, in our state. But, earlier today, we learned that Colorado will now be able to test for COVID-19. To learn more about how Colorado schools are preparing for a possible outbreak here, we talked to Erica Meltzer, bureau chief at Chalkbeat Colorado.

Wolf Reintroduction In Colorado: A Scientific Debate, Or A Moral One?

This November, Colorado voters will be asked whether or not the state should reintroduce gray wolves back into public lands in the western part of Colorado. The question piqued the interest of Ethan Linck, a post-doctoral researcher at the University of New Mexico and a research affiliate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Ethan began to wonder: what does the science say about the effects of wolf reintroduction? And is this a question that should be put to voters?

Ethan wrote a piece on the topic for High Country News, and joined us to discuss his findings.
