Payment decisions are complete and the victims of the Aurora theater shooting will receive money in the coming days. The Aurora Victim Relief Fund has collected $5,338,360.32 between when the mass shooting occurred on July 20 and the deadline to donate, Nov. 15.

Surely you've heard of crowd funding sites like Kickstarter that have helped thousands of filmmakers, musicians and painters leverage Facebook and Twitter to raise money for creative projects.

The man charged with killing 12 people and wounding 58 others at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater on July 20 threatened a University of Colorado psychiatrist about six weeks before the massacre and was barred from campus "as a result of those actions," according to local prosecutors.

They also say in court documents released this morning that James Holmes' alleged threat was reported to university police at the time.

Cinemark announced today that it plans to reopen Century Aurora 16 Multiplex by next year. The theater has been closed since the mass shooting on July 20.
