There's more than enough serious news to go around today.

So if you're looking for a few minutes of relief from all that, watch Cookie Monster's bid to be the next celebrity whose fans (ala Betty White) mount a viral campaign to get him on Saturday Night Live. Of course, there's a Facebook page too:
