Today on Colorado Edition: we’ll learn about political extremism in our state. Plus, we’ll visit an archeological dig in the middle of Fort Collins, and get a look ahead at the Rockies season.
Extremism In Colorado
The "boogaloo" is a loosely organized anti-government movement. For some, the word is an internet joke. For others, it signifies a future civil war.
In Colorado, two men with ties to the boogaloo movement have been involved in incidents related to recent protest events. KUNC reporters Leigh Paterson and Adam Rayes joined us with more about extremism in Northern Colorado.
Visiting An Archeological Dig
When picturing an archaeological dig, most people think of ancient Egypt or great ruins. But students from Colorado State University’s archaeology field school are excavating a grassy plot of campus near the busy intersection of College Avenue and Laurel Street. What are they looking for? KUNC’s Stacy Nick has more.
Rockies Step Up To Bat
In a normal year, Major League Baseball would have started way back in March. But, since this is not a normal year, the start of the season has been delayed until this week.
Colorado’s sluggers, The Rockies, are set to play their first game of the season Friday evening against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. KUNC’s All Things Considered Host, Desmond O’Boyle, joined us ahead of that game to talk about what this year’s season will look like.
