Speaker John Boehner is all for his fellow congressional Republicans and even Democrats giving their own opinions about President Obama's State of the Union address.
But that doesn't mean he's going to pay much if any attention to what they say.
Asked by a reporter if he watched Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-MN) Tea Party Express response to Obama's speech Tuesday night, Boehner said he hadn't.
REPORTER: Mr. Speaker, did you watch Ms. Bachmann's address last night?
SPEAKER BOEHNER: No. I did not. I had other obligations.
REPORTER: And did you — do you think — I mean, you spoke about herbeing one of 535 members. Do you expect that more members will start doing this? Do you support more members coming out and giving addresses of this nature?
SPEAKER BOEHNER: Well, I think all members, House and Senate, Democrat and Republican, responded to the president's speech last night in a lot of different forms. The more the merrier.
