Despite the trouble with golf course real estate, our last word in business today real estate boom as in record-breaking.
The tiny Persian Gulf state of Qatar is hoping to go where others haven't gone before. This coming weekend, officials at the Doha Trade Fair are organizing an attempt to build the world's largest Monopoly game. The current Guinness record holder is Germany. Doha will have to construct a board well over 1,500 square feet to top the Germans.
Game pieces - including dice, houses and hotels - will be huge. But don't expect a giant boot and thimble. Human players, chosen from the Trade Fair's Facebook page, will stand in for the playing token.
