High Plains Chautauqua: A Darwinian Conversation

highplainschautauqua.com

A priest, a biologist, and Charles Darwin walk into a bar... That old yarn starts this brisk and entertaining conversation between Brian "Fox" Ellis; a Darwin Scholar, Father Jack Stapleton; minister of Trinity Episcopal Church, and Dr. Rob Reinsvold; Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Northern Colorado.

The KUNC lecture series takes a step into High Plains Chautauqua for this wonderful and enlightening conversation that addresses the controversy between science, religion and Darwin's work. A packed house of 150 people enjoyed not only audience conversations on questions posed by the speakers, but thoughtful dialog and a civil discussion from each of the three presenters.

High Plains Chautauqua runs through Saturday August 6th, click HERE for a schedule of events. As always your feedback and comments are welcome below.

I’m not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
