Colorado State University plans to hold two public forums on April 16 and April 17 to gather more feedback now that five sites have been identified for a proposed stadium. Four of those locations are on the southwest side of campus.

CSU Spokesperson Kyle Henley says the events will explain the thought process behind site selection, the stadium feasibility study and there will also be time for questions and gathering public feedback.

“We’re at a place now where we’re starting to put more definition on these projects,” he says. “In the previous forums that we had we were introducing folks to the concept, now we’re looking at sites, design and what amenities that could be included in the stadium design.”

On Wednesday, CSU also announced its retained the stadium architectural consulting firm Populous for its stadium feasibility study. That’s in addition to the ICON Venue Group, which will also work on the study.

“Populous is one of the most experienced designers of stadiums in the world,” says Henley. “Their input and experience will be extremely valuable to the Stadium Advisory Committee as they begin to look more closely at specifically what a stadium might look like.”

CSU President Tony Frank has asked the Committee to make a recommendation by the end of the semester.
