Colorado Flood Information Is Now One Click Away

Governor John Hickenlooper launched a new website aimed at providing one place for flood recovery information Tuesday.

Called Colorado United, the site offers everything from home safety tips to a map with road closure listings.

Governor Hickenlooper explains that a “Get Help” part of the site has information about temporary housing and a place to ask questions and contact Colorado’s Recovery Office.

“It’s a way that people can ask directly what the questions are that are bothering them and we will try to make sure that in every case that we get 24 hour turnaround,” Hickenlooper said at an event in Loveland.

Since the flooding started September 11, Hickenlooper said Colorado is making progress in recovery efforts. About three-fourths of roads damaged by the floods are back in service. But some of the fixes right now are temporary in order to reconnect routes.
