New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made waves this week when he suggested a proposed ban on super-sized soft drinks as a way to cut obesity rates. Closer to home, Colorado boasts the least obese population in the country.

But Governor John Hickenlooper told a crowd in Aspen this week that he’s now trying to make Colorado the “healthiest state” in the nation.
