105.5 The Colorado Sound

KUNC and The Colorado Sound and Rocky Mountain Public Media (RMPM), home to Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO Jazz, and THE DROP 104.7 have entered into a nonbinding Letter of Intent (LOI) to explore a potential merger.

These changes come as KUNC continues to navigate financial pressure tiedtolast summer’sannual CPB funding loss and reflect research around news-burnout.

As part of this restructuring, CRNC has reduced its workforce by eight positions, affecting every department. This represents 10 out of 38 employees - more than 26% of the organization’s staff.

KUNC and The Colorado Sound are launching an emergency fundraising campaign to secure these essential services. Across the country, listeners are sending a clear message: public media is worth funding — and worth fighting for.
