Many cities in Colorado and beyond offer bike rentals for a fee through kiosks, but Fort Collins is taking it a step further as the city adds a new bike library satellite location at Colorado State University.
It’s not just students that have access, residents and visitors will be allowed to check out a bike at no cost whether it’s a trip to the store or a leisurely ride throughout the city.
The USA Pro Challenge finished up in Denver on Sunday. After a week crossing Colorado, competitors in the international bike race made several laps in the heart of Denver. In the end though, it was a far different finish than a year ago.
It was a moment three years in the making. After two near misses, pro cyclist Tejay van Garderen finally clinched the yellow winner’s jersey.
The race will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. and end at approximately 3:45 p.m. The course begins and ends at Civic Center Park and includes an “out and back” along 17th Avenue, a loop within City Park, a section on Speer Blvd. and through Larimer Square before returning to the Civic Center Park area.
UPDATE 3:15pm - Stage 6 is complete and CDOT has opened all roads. No more race closures for Saturday 8/24. - The USA Pro Challenge comes to Northern Colorado for the first time and with it road closures. To help you plan accordingly here's the list of closures and times.
