The Colorado Supreme Court signed off on a new congressional district map. Here's what that means
On Monday, the Colorado Supreme Court unanimously approved a new congressional map, drawn for the first time by an independent commission instead of by members of the state legislature. Several legal challenges were made after the map was submitted, arguing the district boundaries had been drawn unfairly, but the court ultimately rejected those arguments.

Housing got less affordable during the pandemic, hitting renters harder than homeowners
More than 17% of Coloradans are renters. According to an analysis from Headwaters Economics, a Montana-based, independent think tank, the largely unprecedented growth in housing costs over the last year has impacted renters more than homeowners. This is especially the case with housing unaffordability.

Greeley exhibit highlights how voter education empowers democracy
A new exhibit at the Greeley History Museum puts the spotlight on the importance of voting to create lasting change in society. The idea for the exhibit, titled “Empowering Voters, Defending Democracy: League of Women Voters of Greeley-Weld County” stemmed from last year’s celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which officially granted women the vote — although in Colorado, women had fought for, and won, voting rights more than two decades earlier.
